Welcome Letter
At Heart of England School, we strive for excellence in everything we do and have a clear, commonly held vision of what we are here to achieve.
Our young people are well cared for and every effort is made to promote their educational and personal development. Hard work and achievement are top of the agenda for everyone. We want every child to be successful, to aim for success from the day they join us and throughout their school career so that when they leave us, they do so with the best results they can achieve, fully prepared to continue their development in Higher Education or employment.
We want them to be confident individuals with well-rounded human qualities, to have developed a sense of self discipline, and understanding of right and wrong, self respect and a respect for others, a caring attitude and not least, a sense of humour.
Of course, high achievement is only possible in an atmosphere of purposeful work. Heart of England has an excellent reputation for the politeness of its students and the calm, well-disciplined way everyone approaches their studies. Smart school uniform, excellent attendance and punctuality, good homework habits and first class teaching are the expected standard.
It is the commitment, expertise and professionalism of our highly-qualified teaching staff that make Heart of England School what it is. The School is committed to continuing its investment in the recruitment, retention and development of the best teachers and associate staff as it is only through them that we can provide the best for our students, their parents and the wider community.
We aim to foster effective working relationships between the School and parents who support the school’s high expectations of behaviour, attendance, hard work and commitment to achievement. We are working hard to build sustained and mutually beneficial links between the family of schools, community groups, local industry and Higher Education institutions.
Having recently been appointed as Headteacher of Heart of England School, it is my intention to enhance the high levels of achievement that the school has made its trade mark.

Andrew R. Mackereth
