SCHOOL SMASHES ALL PREVIOUS RECORDS
Students and teachers of the Heart of England School were jubilant this week when the details of their GCSE performance were released. 85% of students at the school achieved 5 or more good GCSE passes. This news comes just a week after Sixth Form students achieved record-breaking results at Advanced Level.
In every measure of school effectiveness the students have broken all previous school records. Last year students at the school achieved 74% A*-C grades which makes this year’s achievement all the sweeter.
OFSTED concluded that the school was GOOD with OUTSTANDING features back in September 2008 and OUTSTANDING in the Sixth Form, Headteacher: Andrew Mackereth believes that it is only a matter of time before the school is judged OUTSTANDING in all respects.
